Senior Level Grant Writer
This is a long term assignment available immediately. The main responsibility of the Senior Grant Writer will be to assist with the scientific writing of grant applications. Applications will generally be written for grants from the NIH, private foundations, and industry. Experience in writing such grant applications is required. This position may also entail assisting with the preparation of manuscripts for publication including revising papers for resubmission.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Scientific writing and submitting grant proposals 2. Assisting with the writing of manuscripts for publication. Formatting manuscripts and references in the correct order for specific journals

SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: 1. Experience in scientific grant writing
2. Experience in preparing medical manuscripts for publication. 3. Fluency in written and spoken English. 4. Excellent administrative, organizational, communication, writing, and analytical skills. 5. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. 6. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel). 7. Flexibility and demonstrated competence to assess priorities, manage a variety of activities in a complex and fast-paced environment, and ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.

EDUCATION: Master's degree or doctorate in molecular biology, genetics, or a similar field related to biomedical research.

EXPERIENCE: At least two years of experience with scientific grant writing, and at least two years of experience in a position that entailed preparing manuscripts for publication, are required.

This is a long-term assignment available immediately. This position is temporary per diem, but may lead to a permanent position.
