Integrated Care Solutions, Inc. is seeking experienced, highly motivated individuals to fill In-Hospital Patient Care Extender position.
The Patient Care Extender is responsible for working as part of a team to provide high quality care in the Emergency Department/Hospital setting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide quality patient care in accordance with physician orders, clinical operating policies, statewide protocols, and accepted standards of care
Attend to all patients in a courteous, professional manner
Attend Hospital Training to meet standards set by facility
Participate in hospital assigned duties, such as stocking equipment, checking equipment, patient transport, etc. as assigned
Complete and submit all documentation/paperwork requirements daily
Provide appropriate documentation of patient intervention in the hospital setting
Communicate effectively with EMS agencies, physicians, and other health care providers
Participate in rounds/case reviews in compliance with facility requirements
Attend all mandated company training or submit proof of completing equivalent training to the Director of Quality & Regulatory Affairs in a timely fashion
Must be able to maintain a reliable attendance record
Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
Maintain all required certifications as an active EMS provider and supply the Regulatory Compliance Department with valid copies of all certifications and driver's license prior to their expiration dates
Complete other duties as assigned by management/hospital staff
The Patient Care Extender must be fully state certified as an EMT-P
Certifications in Advanced and Basic Cardiac Life Support
Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Must show proficiency with managing ventilated patients
The Hospital Paramedic must have at least a minimum of 5 year of experience with at least 3 years in a 911 system.
The Patient Care Extender must be in good Clinical standing.
Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) and either Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC) are preferred.
Ability to work within a team environment by; accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback; supporting team goals and encouraging other team members; and collaborating with patient care team members to consolidate work, solve problems, create new methods, and/or reduce costs
Ability to operate radios or other Emergency Department communication equipment
Ability to identify and prioritize patient health-related complaints
