JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Employment Specialist will source, screen, interview and refer the most qualified applicants (both internal and external applicants) for vacant positions. Administer, monitor, coordinate, maintain and ensure compliance with areas that may include affirmative action, anti-discrimination, as well as all federal and state laws and regulations. Responsible for maintaining the continuous resume flow for the recruiting and selection of highly qualified candidates.
Responsible for maintaining continuous sourcing, screening, and identifying quality candidates to support recruiting needs. Will be responsible for updating and maintaining recruiting reports and the HRIS system.
Build social media networks to find qualified passive candidates and develop pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. Post position to appropriate sources.
Conducts screening of resumes and initial phone or in person interviews. Refers candidates for the next level of interviews. Schedules interviews with hiring manger.
COMPETENCIES LIST AND DESCRIBE
Understanding of Ohio employment laws, policies, practices and trends needed. Prior experience working with an applicant tracking system and equipment distribution industry knowledge. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Highly motivated, results oriented, resourceful and possess an aptitude for
sales. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and solid knowledge
of sourcing methods and best recruiting practices. Strong communication skills.
College degree and 5 years professional level experience; or 4+ years professional level related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.
Proficient in MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email). Strong communication skills.
