Tinker Tots now has 2 Full Time positions available for kids ages 2 through Pre-K due to kids aging out. Holding Interviews now for immediate enrollment!
I have 8+ years experience as in home licensed daycare provider, caregiver, & preschool teacher. I am also a mother of a 5 year old girl who is in kindergarten and 3 year old boy.
One childcare helper with me too!
Both of us are First-Aid / CPR / AED certified, and continuously take Early Childhood Development Workshop Classes.
Experience with special needs children and LPS Early Head Start Program.
Licensed and Fully Insured
We provide a variety of fun and creative learning activities daily including art, early literacy, math, dramatic play, movement , music, sensory experiences, science, etc. that foster social and development growth.
In order for the children to receive the maximum benefits we keep a low child to adult ratio.
Licensed for 12 children, however I have only held a maximum of 10 children at a time. Per two adults.
I follow a professional preschool curriculum that is Nationally Accredited, and meets the Early Head Start and Nebraska Kindergarten guidelines and requirements.
Plus I am continually investing in the children's play, crafts and exercise.
The Preschool / Pre K curriculum is followed for approximately 90 minutes in the mornings and again in the afternoon. This takes place in a fun classroom environment. (Does not include the time spent on age appropriate arts and crafts) We understand that tots have a short attention span so we break up the educational groups and allow for plenty of free time and imaginary play.
Provide Parent 2 Child Questions. This encourages your child to wonder and help develop critical-thinking skills, Kids are always excited to tell parents about the activities they did and learned about for the day!
Tinker Tots is located in a clean, cozy, safe 4 bedroom ranch style home, inside a quite and mature neighborhood.
Assist children with individual milestones, this includes potty training.
Serve breakfast, lunch, & healthy snack. Participant in the Childcare Food Program.
Children are provided with personal sleep mat, and blanket for nap/quiet time.
I have a large privacy fenced back yard with unlimited toys and stimulating games. We eat many lunches and snacks picnic style and grill out every week. (40 degrees or above)
* We play outside in the winter months!
We teach about plants, flowers, veggie gardens, compost, and a variety of nature in the Spring, Summer & Fall.
Children have two small gardens they start from seeds and grow their vegetables, flowers, & spices until ready to pick and take home.
We supply all garden materials and plenty of fun child friendly education, arts & activities so kids are well informed, & excited to check out and water their garden every morning.
Beginning of Spring, (April) we start the metamorphosis butterfly life cycle, where the children experience the caterpillars form into chrysalis and emerge as a butterfly. Children feed and care for their butterflies, and eventually set them free.
The professionally developed curriculum consists of the following early learning skills and are incorporated into fun topics,
