MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

We have a great opportunity for an experienced, motivated and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. We prefer applicants with 2+ years of STRONG property maintenance experience. Participation in the On-Call schedule and weekend availability is required. Compensation commensurate with experience.

Residential Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and assisting with property preventive maintenance, unit turns, daily work orders, curb painting, efforts for an assigned community including the physical aspects of the building(s), HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, wallboard and texturing, major appliances, stairs, gates, fences, patios, railings, tile, carpet, flooring, interior/exterior lights, repair and paint walls, ceiling leaks and amenities. Assist in keeping grounds neat and free of litter. Must be available for on-call, holidays, weekends, and after-hours emergency maintenance.

Requirements:

Valid California driver's license.
2+ years in apartment maintenance experience.
Must have own transportation to and from work and provide own tools.
HVAC or CFC Certified.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Strong sense of responsibility.
Outstanding troubleshooting and fix-it ability.
Be able to maintain confidentiality and be considerate of resources.
Be a self-starter and able to work unsupervised.
Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
Be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
Good organizational skills with attention to detail and follow up.
Good communication skills and ability to communicate in English.
Ability to write down detailed work or repairs completed.
Maintain and order supplies necessary to complete jobs.
Must have great customer service skills
Must be willing to participate as a team member
Must have a consistent work history and verifiable references
Must be able to pass a background search and drug screen
Be able to analyze and resolve work problems beyond his/her scope.
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
