The Relocation Supervisor is responsible for the smooth operation of the entire relocation process. The Relocation Supervisor maintain consistent liaison with the client on and off site to ensure the process is operating smoothly, and the client undergoes a successful transition. The Relocation Supervisor must also recognize any problems and form solutions efficiently with the relevant consultants and specialists who are a part of the relocations teams.
Oversee, manage and coordinate the entire resident relocation activities by establishing, implementing, and maintaining policies and practices for the tenants' and their families' relocation.
Establish relocation project goals and objectives; develop clear and concise policies for all phases of the relocation process that are aligned with Federal and State guidelines.
Create and implement relocation project communication strategies.
Develop and coordinate relocation plan schedules and planning and relocation efforts with construction activities.
Work closely with other departments and other internal staff or external agencies to oversee and coordinate physical resident relocation and re-occupancy activities.
Work to minimize relocation costs and disruption of work for the tenants and the organization.
Approve relocation budgets and plans and the disbursement of funds; authorize services and payments and audit expenses.
Identify any problems and find solutions to improve the process.
Offer additional service option to clients and negotiate terms of agreement during the relocation process.
Develop business targets and goals for the team to work towards, promoting customer service and company expansion.
Hire and supervise Relocation Specialist(s) and Administrative Assistant.

Liaise with Rental brokers:
Identify brokers and select broker
Enter into contract with broker for predetermined number of units, ideally in close proximity to each other; have units selected 3 months prior to actual move
Liaise with SFHA/MOH:
RAD Phase II units to be filled, then, engage with Housing Development Property Management to have units turned and ready at each relocation point
Liaise with SFHA and MOH:
Provide ongoing relocation reports and attend relocation meetings
Liaise with Housing Development:
Obtain timeline of work to be performed and units to be impacted by dates (including tentative dates) and time work will take
Communicate when common areas and large systems will be impacted (eg elevator, front entrance, office (PM/TS) space
Liaise with Compliance:
Liaise with Property Management:
Certification of households
Consistency in communication over relocation
Create subcohort group of RAD relocation folks with sister agencies (CHP and CCDC) to coordinate strategies and share best practices on an ongoing basis
Liaise with Tenant Services:
Liaise with moving company(ies) selection:
Coordinate dates and households to move
Track which households are moving where and when
Provide information to Compliance, Property Management and Housing Development
Manage relocation budget with close engagement with Housing Development for each property and provide Housing Development with monthly reports, in conjunction with accounting
Ensure proper noticing of relocation updates to tenants and staff (PM, Compliance, HD, Accounting)
Identify RAD phase II units for transfer purposes
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Three to five years of experience in relocation and experience in management to successfully fulfill the requirements within Relocation Services.
Thorough knowledge of relocation law; State relocation law and relocation requirements of other federal programs.
Knowledge of housing related issues.
Excellent organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
Strong communication skills, able to work as part of a team and independently.
Self-motivated and well-organized, able to problem solve using their own initiative.
Microsoft Office and any other software relevant to Relocation Services Management.
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Must be able to perform a variety of tasks.
Lead and direct the work of others.
Ability to work with a diverse population.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Russian, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and/or Arab.
