Our client is a company based in Oklahoma City that designs, engineers and manufactures HVAC equipment. They are searching for a Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. The company is very stable, and the position offers competitive salary, benefits, and room for career growth and advancement.

JOB SUMMARY: Works with and provides support for Design Engineering, Accounting, Sales, Aftermarket Support and all production departments. Develops and documents processes and procedures for the most effective methods of producing product. Provides input on design of components to allow efficient manufacturing and helps troubleshoot any problems.

Develop, evaluate, improve and document manufacturing processes.
Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, etc. . .
Collaborate with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure efficient production methods.
Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluate products according to quality standards and specifications.
Estimate staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
Work closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with LEAN manufacturing practices.
Create and maintain accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts in accordance with the R&D and quality assurance functions.
Provide engineering support for production department/ trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.
Coordinate work with tool room personnel, assigned technicians, and outside vendors.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with LEAN manufacturing principles preferred.
