Editorial internship for college graduates or students seeking online publishing experience in the editorial/writing field. Selected candidates will receive hands-on experience with online publishing and educational resource database content development. Interns will be expected to work in-office Monday through Thursday (9:00 A.M - 3:30 P.M).
The World & I Online is a prestigious educational database for K-12 students. We provide unique, in-depth articles on a wide range of world topics, including global cultures, arts, politics, history, character development, and much more.

The successful candidate will:
Create content for both websites' special features and sections
Use an Internet management tool to update special collections and features on our websites
Assist in researching marketing opportunities for the company
Perform other tasks related to online publishing and database updating, including web maintenance, photo research, contacting sources, etc.
Learn firsthand what it's like to work in the online publishing industry
College graduate or student (English/Education/History/Journalism majors preferred)
Very strong research and writing skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Familiar with Google Docs
Ability to tailor writing style for a young audience
Ability to work independently under a deadline
Ability to consistently produce educational content daily
Creative mind and willingness to come up with ideas for site features
The successful candidate will receive a monthly stipend, as well as a personalized letter of recommendation upon completion of the internship.
