Many customers often are willing to pay but often don't as a result of paperwork errors, incorrect items, quality control issues, and yes even financial trouble. But most often if given the opportunity will gladly pay if they are treated fairly, respectfully and their problems are resolved.
What's your leverage??? Well that depends on what your product/service is. I have found that having ALL of the customers you currently provide to fill out for your "files" a standard credit form outlining your terms of Net ** along with all the pertinent information for your files and theirs such as A/P contacts, return policies, etc. generally works very well as your leverage point and will almost ALWAYS yield results.
