Media Buyer/Planner - Direct Response
Join the media buying team of a leading full service direct response marketing company with a diverse client base including Fortune 500 companies including Travel & Tourism, Casino and Healthcare accounts. The senior media buyer will be responsible for planning, negotiating, buying, analyzing, tracking and reporting for multiple DRTV campaigns. Reporting to the VP, Media, the senior media buyer must be able to work as part of a team and independently in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Negotiating national cable media buys
- Maximizing client budgets
- Analyzing and tracking campaign results on a daily/weekly basis
- Evaluating new media opportunities
- Approving affidavits and reconciling discrepancies
- Assisting in the development of materials for RFP's
- Communicating results to both Account Management and Clients
Candidates must have a minimum of four years experience in buying direct response television media, good organizational and communication skills, ability to juggle multiple campaigns, work independently and under occasional pressure. The ideal candidate will also have minimal supervisory experience. Proficiency with CORE Media Software, Nielsen and Planning Research a plus.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Experience in DRTV industry
2+ years experience in an analytics role
2+ years - experience in DRTV buying/planning and/or analysis
Relevant experience as a proficient to advanced Excel
Excellent problem solving skills with superb attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment
Back-end analysis and reconciliation is also required
Fluent with other MS Office applications
Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing analysis
Experience with new/emerging media, such as VOD and mobile marketing a plus
