Two faced sellers

It's funny how sellers change their mind on the price of an item once you are over half way to their location. I left Newton Grove headed to Youngsville to purchase a buffet for $100.00. It was the price they listed in the AD. We agreed on it yesterday. I was to arrive this afternoon by 3. By the time I got to Garner, which is 45 miles from my location, her son was calling telling me the buffet was worth $200.00 and he had to have $150.00... The person who bought the table and chairs had offered that. What has happened to the value of someone's word. This is the third time in 2 months this has happened. I guess greed is worth way more than honor these days. No wonder this country is in such an awful fix. I was raised 51 years ago that a person is only as good as their word. What has happened?
