The City of Creedmoor, located approximately 20 miles North of Raleigh, is recruiting for an administrative assistant position to provide paraprofessional and administrative support to the Building Codes Administrator, Public Works Director, and Planning Director.
Work requires knowledge of City policies and procedures as related to planning, zoning, inspections, permitting, and stormwater administration. This position maintains extensive contact with builders, developers, and the public to provide policy and procedure assistance and requires the ability to create and maintain sensitive records with a high degree of accuracy and integrity; performs a variety of specialized tasks to include scheduling work assignments, direct customer service, processing applications and permits, maintenance of departmental databases, report generation, and maintaining department calendar.
Successful candidates must be proficient in MS Office and possess exceptional organizational capability, excellent oral/written communication skills, and the ability to work with interruptions while managing multiple assignments simultaneously and timely. Minimum of three (3) years in an administrative support role required. Previous experience in a Planning, Inspections, or Public Works environment is preferred.

Salary Range: $32,540 - $36,500 DOE.
