In this role, you will provide development of new tools and daily maintenance and support tasks of existing databases and tools, including analyzing and developing new database applications and solutions to support financial reporting, web portal access to business information, and data transformation and distribution for internal and external data feeds.
Writing Stored procedures and other code.
Participate in team meetings to plan, review and design solutions to Business's needs.
Resolve SQL Server issues in development, QA and production environments.
Provide ad hoc reports for department heads.
Promote and adhere to company database standards. Includes standards for security, coding, templates and connectivity.
Support the data modeling with the design of new databases to meet application requirements; support design and implementation of ETL processes between disparate systems; and continually maintain and support mission critical SQL Server applications.
Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to clients for resolution.
Assist development and management teams in the gathering and documentation of business requirements, analysis, and design of reporting tools that support the business objectives.
5-7 years of experience in the technology realm.
3 years of experience with SQL 2012 developing stored procedures, views, functions.
1-2 years of experience with MS SSRS.
1-2 years of experience with MS SSIS.
Prior experience isolating and resolving typical problems with the SQL Server application and the databases. For example: Loss or lack of connectivity, inability to leverage services provided by database, SQL Server specific errors, timeouts and severe loss of performance.
Experience with OLAP databases,
Proficient with MS Office Products: Word, Excel, Access, Visio
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
