This set of two Steelcase chairs is so slick! The Danish Modern aesthetic is clean and minimalist with a gleaming frame and vinyl seats.
The tubular, square shaped frame has a geometric design. Both industrial style chairs are clean, sturdy and have level legs. I am not completely sure of the frame material, but I think it is steel with a chrome finish. The arm rests are black plastic with a textured finish.
The substantial seats and backrests are about 3" thick. They are covered in vinyl with matching piping. The vinyl is such a mod shade of primary blue. . . and so rare!
Please look closely at the photos because the chairs are slightly different from each other. One has slightly rounded corners on the seat and back; the corners on the other chair are more squared-off.
I don't have an exact date of manufacture, but I'd guess these midcentury modern chairs are from the mid 70s.
Please keep in mind these chairs are vintage, so wear is evident. There are faint signs of rust on the legs. There are some snags and wear in vinyl. The arm rests have scratches and wear in places. I tried to show this in the photos, but I am happy to send more detailed photos upon request.
