Summary: Leads and Organizes work crew to maintain grounds of residential, industrial, commercial, or public property by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Arranges with supervisor destination, equipment and labor needed to fulfill daily work order needs.

Organizes, drives trucks and transports crew and equipment to work site.

Responsible for leading in caring of equipment and vehicles, maintaining logs, fueling vehicles and equipment and collecting all equipment upon vacating job sites.

Responsible for the leading and participating in the cleaning of equipment, vehicles and corporate building and ground areas.

Responsible for leading and participating in the following customer job order tasks:
Cuts lawns.
Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls.
Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs.
Sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides.
Rakes and bags or burns leaves.
Cleans grounds and removes litter.
Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
Waters lawn and shrubs.
Repairs fences, gates, walls, and walks.
Paints fences and other landscape objects.
Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears.
Makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower and spreader.
May run wood chippers and chainsaws

Less than high school education; or at least three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills:
No Computer skills needed.

Certificates and Licenses:
Florida CLASS D drivers license
May need State of Florida Pesticide Applicator License

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Leads and participates with crew to perform associated tasks.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, runs wood chippers and chainsaws, and occasionally to fumes or airborne particles.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is; is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.

Starting wage will depend on level of experience and start at $600-$700 weekly salary.
