FULL-TIME OPENING for an Administrative Assistant to work on our Client Service Team in our Fort Worth agency. This position requires a GROUP I TEXAS INSURANCE LICENSE (General Lines -Life, Accident, Health) but we will train and license the right candidate

Client Service Team Duties:

Makes hundreds of monthly outbound service calls to clients to ensure policy satisfaction, notify of approved or declined applications, remind clients of overdue premiums and notify clients of upcoming rate increases
Answers inbound calls on multi-line telephones, determines purpose of callers, and transfers calls to appropriate personnel or voicemail
Processes and scrubs new client applications to prepare for submission. Requires expert attention to detail
Handles client service needs such as claims research and resolution, client appeals, lost ID cards, locating network providers and all other ordinary policy service needs
Contacts healthcare providers offices to determine network participation
Assists clients with shopping for alternate coverage options when rates increase
Offers/sells dental, vision and hearing insurance plans to existing clients
Enters prescriptions lists into Medicare.gov and performs analysis of Part D drug plan options & is able to explain these options to clients
Builds application kits to be mailed to prospective clients
Contacts insurance carriers with underwriting questions and checks status of applications

Special Requirements:

Attention to detail is critical -- must pass and score well on pre-employment testing that we will administer.
Must be able to work overtime when needed
Required overtime during our busy season -- the fall election period, which runs from October 15th -- Dec. 7
This is a smoke-free work environment. Smoke breaks are not allowed.

Experience/Education Requirements:

2 years minimum office experience required
Professional multi-line phone experience -- good pronunciation and diction
Excellent record-keeping skills to document ALL communications with clients
Typing 60 wpm+ and good command of written English language
Pleasant, positive attitude -- patient and empathetic
Computer proficiency in Microsoft office -- particularly Word, Excel, Outlook -- able to navigate internet and use email
Must have a CLEAR criminal background and healthy credit score
High School Diploma or higher education is required
Excellent verifiable job references and stable employment record

Work Environment/Agency Info:

$14 - 15/hour + bonus, starting wage depending on insurance experience
