OK, here's the scoop... juvenile but "responsible" 50 year old (don't worry, I act and look like a circa 1980 35 year old) with a history of local Boston bands (Alright, they were hardcore bands but a dude's got the right to mellow out...) and a penchant for QUALITY bud JUST picked up the guitar again a few months ago and I've been absolutely obsessed with folk/country acoustic playing (on my newly beloved '76 Takamine..."Honey Bee") and developing a vocal style that will no longer drive cats and dogs out of my house. BUT I need a bass playing jam mate to:

(a) Help me improve...and help you improve too! PLEASE don't be so good that I look like a tool! That would be no fun for the both of us.
(c) Play out for free JUST to entertain. Libraries, VFW halls, dive bars (are there even any left anywhere near Boston? Worcester, Springfield or Providence bound we shall be!), front porches, back-yards
(d) Play IN...outside jamming, impromptu show on George's Island in the Harbor (huh, how cool would THAT be).
(e) Getting baked. Hey, it's always been a tradition to hit the b0ng between songs! "Mommy won't let me" bassists actively discouraged ;)
(f) Turning it into a real band. I play electric too, and would love to be Billy Gibbons or Joe Walsh when I grow up. Keyboardist, drummer etc. down the line if the vibe works.

So, if you've made it THIS far take a peek at some of what I've been playing

Fallen from Grace soundtrack: "Don't Scare Me None", "Fallen From Grace"
Hank: "I'm So Lonesome...", "Lovesick Blues"
John Denver: "Country Roads"
Jerry: "Jack A Roe", "It Takes a Lot to Laugh", "Deep Elum", "Little Sadie", "All Around This World", "Oh Babe it Ain't No Lie"
Bob: "Mama Tried", "Me & My Uncle"
R.E.M.: "Rockville"
Cash: "Big River"

You get the idea! And if you're STILL interested shoot me an email or call and we'll get down to bizness!
