A Kent distribution company is looking for a full time Accounting Assistant with recent accounting or bookkeeping experience and some accounting education. This individual will help the controller and provide backup to other Admin's, so the list of responsibilities below includes additional functions that won't be needed on a daily basis.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Reconciling GL accounts, help with month end close and budgets, payroll, prepare reports, invoicing, receiving, inventory adjustments, cash applications, Accounts Payable (including coding, entering invoices and preparing checks), collection calls and answering A/R phone inquiries, reconciling A/P, and other projects as assigned.
Ideal candidate will have: AA in accounting or related field, and be proficient with Excel. Inventory accounting knowledge and experience helpful. Needs to be organized and extremely detail oriented, have good communication skills and must be a team player. Must be someone who pays close attention and can reason through formulas and projects.
The hours are M-F from 8am to 5pm.
