Controller/CPA

We have an exciting opening for a talented and bright Controller/CPA. This full time position is looking for an individual who can provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, financial reporting and budget management. The successful candidate would be able to drive our day to day accounting, accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting for our growing company. This individual will ensure accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of annual budget and monitors/analyzes the company's results against it
Implement a process to record transactions by department and compare costs incurred to budget and performance analysis of profit centers
Preparation of annual tax return with outside CPA firm
Oversees audit/review process and interface with outside CPA firm
Prepares monthly financial statements
Oversees cash management, payroll, retirement accounts, and all payroll filings and tax deposits
Supervision of all AR/AP process, including client billing, billing reimbursements from client.
Manage assets and inventory records.
Responsible for the coordinating and maintaining banking relationships.
Assist in the implementation of corporate policies and procedures such as invoice processing and cash management.
Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations
Supports senior management with analysis, research or other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Must be credible, ethical, full disclosure, strong work ethic
Ability to work with and maintain confidential information; understands the ethical standards of a CPA
Ability to handle payroll information confidentially
Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
Accountable for specific performance
Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Effective leadership and supervisory skills
Good GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.
C.P.A or C.M.A is preferred but not required
5+ years experience
4+ years experience managing the accounting and finance process.
3+ years in a position equivalent to a controller or higher responsibilities.
