Bethesda Hospital East Florida

Bethesda Health is seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse who appreciates the challenge of caring for expectant mothers and families as they guide them through the management of low and high risk laboring women and the immediate stabilization of the newborn following delivery. The RN is responsible for comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs, identification of outcomes based on the needs assessment, establishing care plans, monitoring the progress of laboring patients and modification of the plan of care as needed. Current Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM (AWHONN) and a minimum of (2) two years current Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience is required.


As one of the area's most experienced maternity centers, Bethesda Hospital East knows babies. Bethesda Health nurses have shared a passion for helping families grow for more than 50 years.

We have recently launched our new Family-Centered Maternity Care Program which promotes bonding between moms and babies at birth. This new program keeps new mothers and babies together from the moment of birth, and keeps them together in the same room and cared for by one mother-baby Registered Nurse.

In addition, we have recently added a high-risk obstetrical triage unit, remodeled our maternity rooms and are currently renovating our Labor, Delivery and Recovery Suites.

It is also comforting to know that Bethesda's Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is staffed by a neonatologist 24 hours a day, providing the highest level of care for premature and critically ill newborns.

With more than 3,200 deliveries a year, we know babies.
