Two of NYC's premier event spaces on the Upper East Side are seeking talented pastry cooks for our Fall/Winter catering season. Applicants must have prior catering and/or restaurant experience, be extremely hard working, clean, organized and detail oriented. Must also be able to take orders and follow instructions diligently and carefully while showing great self-management capabilities.
PASTRY COOKS / ASSISTANTS -- Qualifications
*Must have at least 2-3 years catering experience
*Must be able to follow and execute recipes consistently
*Knowledge of pastry and baking techniques
*Cake decorating knowledge a plus!
*Must be able to follow safe food handling rules and procedures
*Team player, detail oriented, punctual, professional, and reliable
The most desirable candidates will be self-directed, self-motivated, and require minimal instruction and supervision.
AM shifts range from 7AM into the afternoon and PM shifts range from late afternoon to 2AM. Flexible schedules are a bonus.
This is a great opportunity for advanced culinary students and highly motivated aspiring chefs looking to gain invaluable experience.
