The IT Manager/Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and use of all internal business systems. This individual is also responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. The IT Manager participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the network infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational and IT policies.

The IT Manager/System Administrator will lead approved technology projects. These activities include defining requirements, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development; technical analysis and design; and providing support for project members or Staff in executing, testing and rolling-out solutions. Individual will see projects from development to production.


-Manage information technology department and computerized business systems
-Develop, implement and enforce IT policies and procedures, including those for security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision
-Manage IT vendor/consultant contracts and service agreements
-Manage company assets
-Oversee on-site reprographics FM services
-Provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced personnel
-Control/Manage IT budget for computer systems and services expenditures

Asset Management

-Manage the procurement of all software, hardware and other IT supplies
-Ensure company assets are tracked and maintained
-Systems Administration

-Network and Systems Administration for HQ site and remote site (India)
-Lead technology projects and initiatives
-Respond to IT support requests in a timely manner
-Install, repair, upgrade, and maintain business systems and infrastructure, including but not limited to, workstations, servers, network switches, routers, and cabling
-Monitor network systems, including traffic, inbound & outbound queues, server metrics, storage space, and implement efficiency improvements
-Data management and protection (data backup, archiving, & data restores)
-Provide network reporting, analysis and recommendations
-Design and implement redundant systems to ensure effective protection and integrity of system up time & data assets


-Manage and support Shoretel VOIP telephone system
-Oversee all telephone changes (including routing for seating assignments)

Helpdesk Administration

-Oversee Desktop Support services and provide support in the absence of a Desktop Support Technicians
-Respond to escalated desktop support issues
-Provide guidance and training to Staff on operation of systems and products

Experience and Education:

-7+ years of System Administration experience
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent Technical Experience
-MCSE/MCITP, CCNA, Security +, Network + and other certifications a plus.
-LAN/WAN design and infrastructure support
-Solid knowledge of networking standards, protocols, security, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
-IIS, Active Directory and Group Policy administration and support in a Windows Server 2008 environment
-Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 administration
-Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 Server administration
-Comprehensive Virus, Spam & Web Security
-Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint a plus
-AutoCAD and Revit experience is a plus
-Experience using and supporting remote access solutions (VPN, RDS/Terminal Services)
-Disaster Recovery planning and testing
