Job Responsibilities

As a Direct Support Professional it will be your responsibility to assist and instruct residents in the activities of daily living, and to help maintain the overall operation of the home.

Additional responsibilities of the Direct Support Professional will include:

-Assisting and instructing individuals with daily living skills

-Assisting individuals with implementation of their behavioral and habilitative plans

-Assisting individuals with their medical, psychiatric and social-emotional needs

-Administrating medication and implementing delegated responsibilities ordered by licensed medical personnel

-Implementing programs and collecting data as required

-Treating residents with respect and dignity

-Serving as Case Coordinator; working as part of the Interdisciplinary Team

-Completing all required paperwork and ensuring documentation of all financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner

-Maintaining daily housekeeping tasks

-Ensuring overall upkeep and maintenance of agency vehicles, including documenting mileage

-Providing safe transportation of individual(s) in the home

-Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

A HS diploma/GED, reliable transportation & a valid driver's license are required, DMV/criminal background checks & drug screening will be conducted.
Experience working in a residential setting is preferred
