Marketing Coordinator Job Description
Reports To: Doctor/Treatment Coordinator/Office Coordinator
Summary of Position: Responsible for all marketing systems within the practice.
The Marketing Coordinator's primary responsibility is to enhance and deliver verbal, written & digital materials; manage and understand all internal and external marketing programs; and to lead the marketing strategy internally and externally within our community.
External Marketing Responsibilities:
Install and implement annual marketing calendar for the practice.
Maintain social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
Supervise all responsibilities of contests, promotions and special events.
Communicate the identity of the Doctor, team and practice to outside entities.
Manage marketing donation forms and distribution of funds.
Manage all print, radio and television advertisements.
Fabricate and obtain all print work for contests, promotions and specials events.
Manage and maintain annual marketing budget.
Facilitate packaging and delivery of marketing and dental gift packages.
Facilitate continuing education courses.
Develop creative ideas for practice and keep current on new ideas and trends.
Communicate with graphic designers to bring new ideas to life.
Participate in community involvement.
Coordinate practice building and public relations efforts with patients, parents, referring and non-referring professionals, and the community.
Maintain, update and communicate changes to web designer for the practice website.
Search for, organize and attend (or organize attendance for someone to attend) community events (career day, spring fling, fall festival, etc.)
Participate in Community Involvement. *Some weekends and evenings are required for attending community events.
Internal Marketing Responsibilities:
- Develop & distribute quarterly practice newsletter.
- Facilitate internal patient contests and drawings.
- Participate in monthly marketing meetings.
- Participate in practice building/public relations.
- Participate in continuing education courses.
- Manage Patient Information Boards in Lobby.
-Marketing responsibilities for staff birthdays, anniversaries and holiday events.
-Facilitate monthly marketing meetings.
Interpersonal -- Excellent interpersonal skills to promote practice to co-workers, patients, parents, referring doctors and their staff, as well as the community.
Written Skills -- Outstanding written skills and ability to compose effective correspondence to various audiences.
Verbal Skills -- Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients and parents, referring doctors and their staff, community members, media and advertising personnel both in person and on the telephone. Must have a pleasant and friendly telephone voice.
