Clean and sanitize production line, while paying special attention to all food contact surfaces and bacterial growth areas. Efficiently use all available resources to ensure food contact surfaces are compliant with all food safety, quality, personnel safety, sanitation and environmental standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
Make safety your number one priority. This can be done by paying close attention to your surroundings, and strictly adhering to company policies and procedures.
Ensure first time quality by verifying that food contact machinery is properly cleaned and sanitized according to Company standards, while coordinating with support of Sanitation Lead and other departments such as QA, Maintenance, Production.
Report immediately any incidents involving food safety or safety hazards, including non-compliance related to Company policies and/or procedures.
Monitor cleanliness and take immediate action by notifying Lead or production supervisor when a brief clean-up is needed.
During cleaning events employee must communicate and follow direction of Sanitation Lead or production Shift Supervisor.
Following planned clean-ups, Sanitation must document and verify food safety and report each event to Sanitation Manager.
Report product spills to Production Supervisor/Sanitation Lead, and provide feedback as to root cause or corrective actions that may be taken to prevent future spills.
Work with all departments to ensure good communication and teamwork.
Understand and perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual sanitation tasks at appropriate speed to meet required deadlines.
Assist Lead in monitoring, recording and controlling use of cleaning chemicals by following correct recipes for food safety.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and never compromise food safety with any chemical contact.
Support Lead by following food safety practices, including proper SSOP's and chemical safety.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness that is consistent with the operation of a food safe facility.
Assist production by performing line duties when called upon to help.
Maintain good personal hygiene, follow GMP's and maintain a clean, safe and sanitary workplace. Immediately report any situation that may cause product to be contaminated or compromised.
Comply with plant security by ensuring that doors are locked and closed behind you. Report any suspicious activities to your Supervisor immediately. Enter only through the main reception area or other controlled entrances using the company issued Key FOB. The FOB shall not be lent to another person. In the event a key FOB is lost, report to Supervisor and/or Human Resources immediately.
Must be able to regularly lift and move objects up to 75 pounds with heavier weight necessary at times.
Review and report to Sanitation Lead or Production Supervisor any irregular maintenance items needed to comply with food safety, quality, mechanical, material, sanitary or operational issues.
Complete required annual refresher training related to chemical safety, Lockout/Tagout safety, and use of safety harnesses (Fall Protection).
Complete required annual refresher training related to SSOP's, GMP's, Allergens, and be aware of equipment changes or line modifications.
Prioritize work to maintain the facility in a constant state of cleanliness through continuous cleaning. Be willing to clean plant during annual plant shutdown, or where extended hours may be required.
Complete other sanitation tasks and waste removal timely, and as assigned by Sanitation Lead/Production Supervisor.
