Position: Dog Walker/Pet Sitter W2 Part Time employee: Range is $10/hr + Commission + Gas reimbursement + Tips (not that common) + Bonus for exceptional reviews from our clients.

Currently you can expect to do about 20-25 hours a week, will increase with more clients.

Get in while we grow!! Room for manager spots/higher level spots in the future!

Available M-F 10am- 6PM (most walks would be from 11 am till 2pm)
Available Saturday and Sunday (not all day)
Available Holidays

Have reliable & gas friendly transportation (30mpg+ average)
Pass a background check with flying colors!
Have a smartphone and know how it works!

Able to stay in this position for AT LEAST 6 months, we invest a lot into our contractors and would appreciate not applying if you cannot stay that long. ***

The ideal candidate is responsible, reliable, trustworthy, flexible, and VERY ORGANIZED! A lot of planning, organization, and attention to detail is required to succeed in this position. In addition to walking dogs, you must be attentive and make sure that every task is completed according to client specifications.

We need someone who is available for Overnight Pet Sitting. For an overnight, you sleep in the client's home overnight from 8 pm -- 8 am and usually it includes a mid-day walk the following day. You must be willing to drive to other areas of Central San Diego.
For this position you must also be available Monday through Sunday for morning and evening pet sitting. The hours are usually between 7 -- 10 am and 6 -- 9 pm as most dogs need to be let out twice per day when their owners are out of town.

Responsible, punctual, and personable. Clients will be meeting with you first to allow them to feel comfortable letting you in to their homes and with their pet families. You must display professionalism and consideration for clients' concerns and needs. Strong attention to detail is a must. Many clients are very specific with the way they want their pets and homes cared for. Also, you must be extremely reliable. Because we are such a small business, calling in to say you can't make an appointment last minute will not be an option because there will be no one else to cover for you when we are booked up.
Must be very flexible with scheduling. Many clients schedule visits only one day in advance, therefore you must be ok with working on an on call basis and flexible with last minute changes. Most of the work will be between 10 am and 3 pm Monday through Friday, with some random hours on the weekends. Being available on weekends and Holidays is a plus. Our schedule is constantly changing so we can not promise a set amount of hours each week, some weeks you may work 10 hours, some weeks you may work 30. If you are the type of person that needs to have a regular and set schedule, this won't be a good fit for you.
Several years of experience with various animals is a must, as well as the love and patience to work with pets of varying size, demeanor, and level of training.
In good physical condition. You must also be strong enough to control several dogs at once, as well as large dogs that have not been trained to heel or not pull or lunge at strangers. Some of our dogs are VERY strong.
Maintain a professional and personable appearance. The job involves lots of interacting with clients, so you must be good with people, maintain a clean appearance, and be patient and understanding. Our clients are some of the nicest people around, and we make it our goal to exceed their expectations with the quality of our service.
Honest and trustworthy. Our clients place a great deal of trust in our services, and you must reflect that as we have. You will be entering people's houses and caring for members of their families.
Have a reliable vehicle. You must be comfortable transporting animals in your vehicle as well, although this is a relatively rare occurrence.
