I'm looking for something I can carry with one hand for a P/W gig! Mainly interested in 1x12 tube combos @ or below ~40w. My amp was ~$900 in parts alone and I spent the better part of 2 weeks' of free time designing and building it.
This is my latest scratch build. In my 14 years of building, I have to say this is my favorite so far. It is in Excellent ++ condition.
*35w Fender AB763 (Blackface) Normal Channel blended with Marshall Plexi preamp values - mated to a cathode bias 2x6L6 power section for touch sensitivity and chewy, bouncy feel
*Thick and clean tone (not piercing highs of typical Fender circuit) that can move into the more traditional Blackfaced tones if you want them
*Great pedal platform
*Variable Negative Feedback control on rear to alter feel/breakup and bright switch on front panel
*Bullet proof componentry and oversized Hammond power/output trannies
*2 x 12AX7, 2 x 6l6/5881 -- currently has NOS JAN Philips 6L6WGBs -- will throw in matched spares, 1 x 5U4GB
*Full turret board/flying lead construction using best possible components, no expense spared
*Bias test points -- very easy to swap tubes and adjust bias on the fly
*Mather built head cab, Avatar 1x12 extension cab loaded with the beautiful WGS ET65
*Very light and portable -- comes with cab slip cover and power cord
