Here is a heavy, solid cast iron door stop that depicts a lady golfer clothed in 1930's or 1940's attire, with her golf bag and clubs.
The height is 12 1/2"; the width is 7 "; and the weight is almost 4 lbs. The door stop is hollow and flat on the back.
There are no cracks or damage to the cast iron, and the paint is in very good condition with a few minor nicks at the base and on her hat and her nose is just a bit lighter in color than the rest of her face. All of that is barely noticeable and does not distract from the piece.
I am not sure of the maker or the age of this door stop. It is, though, a very unique piece that would be perfect for the golfer in your life, including yourself, to be used as a door stop or a decorative piece.
See the photos for more details.
The price is $28.00 or best offer.
Located at Southern Antiques and Accents in Fairhope behind Pizza Hut, Booth 65.
