Flynn is a gorgeous year and a half old English Shepherd (purebread, born Dec. 2014) who is well trained (he went through advanced training at Pet Smart) and very sweet. He craves a lot of love and thus demands a fair amount of attention. He also likes to be the center of attention:) He exhibits classic herding behaviors, constantly chasing our other dog around the yard (for fun!) and running the fence line to keep intruders out. He gets along with other dogs once he's had time to assess whether they are friendly or not. He can be a little territorial at first, but once he realizes they're ok he'll be their best friend.

Flynn, requires a home without any children. Unfortunately, small children (under the age of 10- any older and he loves them) give him anxiety and trigger his herding instincts. he doesn't seem to be able to handle their activity and feels the need to control their movements. He is not aggressive per se but he does nip and try to grab ahold of clothing in an attempt to keep them still, and we don't trust him not to bite if provoked further. We have several friends with little ones and plan on having children ourselves in the near future, hence our decision to rehome him. Kenneling him whenever kids are around doesn't seem fair to this sweet guy who so craves attention and hates to be separated. If you are looking for an active dog, have time and a yard to offer him, but don't have kids in the house or around too often, then Flynn will be a good fit for you! He is very intelligent and athletic. He does well with cats and his shots are all up to date as of a few months ago. Please contact us if you are interested! We love him and want him to go to the best home, so please be prepared to answer questions about your home:)
