It is with great regret that I must post that I need to rehome my 10 year old Beagle. He is recently adopted from the animal shelter but had some unforseen difficulties. He is a beagle that is extremely motivated by food. He loves to be outside and goes on long walks where he is great on a leash. I have walked him without a leash before and he listens very well however he can wander if he gets on a smell trail. For a 10 year old dog he is very healthy with no major health concerns. Heartworm negative and comes with 3 months of preventative medication. He unfortunately has the joint of a senior dog and it is very uncomfortable for him to walk up and down stairs. As someone who lives upstairs in an apartment this has been a challenge. I'm afraid I am not able to give him the best location he deserves. As a beagle he doesn't bark during the days and likes to sleep a lot so he does well on his own during the afternoons. He is on a two week dose of antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection but it is clearing up day by day.

He would do best in a quiet home preferably with a yard he could be tied up in or a fenced in yard. No stairs would be best. I really want to find a good home where he would be more comfortable and be able to live out his last couple of years with a loving family. I am looking for a rehome fee of $50 as I have had him vetted but that is negotiable to a good home. Please contact me with any questions
