Position Summary
The role of the Creative Manager is to:
Manage a team of Art Directors and Sr. Art Directors to creatively design and execute concepts across a variety of advertising media (Including catalog, direct mail, newspaper, magazine, web and broadcast) to reflect and build the Belk brand and our position of ‘Modern. Southern. Style.’

The major responsibilities include:
* Provide direction and support to Art Directors and Sr. Art Directors to fully develop on-brand concepts
* Coach and nurture team members through frequent feedback regarding performance
* Work closely with Director of Promotional Creative to execute global brand creative vision through promotional advertising vehicles
* Actively participate in a variety of company initiatives
* Pre-approve and process photography invoices
* Actively participate in training of team members with new or changing processes
* Ability to design effective conceptual presentations through finished projects
* Interview and collaborate with Human Resources to hire new associates
* Contribute to ongoing development of style guide

External Relationships:
* Effective communication with vendors (photographers, separators, producers) and outside agencies
* Collaborate with suppliers to execute to a high standard within assigned budgets

Internal Relationships:
* Work as team with Director of Promotional Creative, Copy Manager and other marketing department peers
* Collaborate with buyers and high level merchants
* Collaborate with various departments throughout company

Job Requirements:
Position Requirements
Education & Experience
College degree with graphic design or related major preferred
Eight plus years experience in retail preferred
Thorough knowledge of photography
Experience in selecting models and editing photography
Proficient Computer skills (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Ability to travel for photography shoots
