I am looking for two camera operators to help record a workshop, designed for therapists who treat psychological trauma, that is being held at the Garrison Institute in Garrison, New York. The event is being held from September 30th to October 4th. I would require your services the evening of September 29th for setup, as well as from 9am to 6pm from September 30th to October 3rd, and finally 8:30am to 1pm (not including time to tear down equipment and pack up, which typically runs for 2 hours).
We will be streaming this event over the internet. I am providing our own equipment, a Panasonic AG-AC160, two Sony PMX-X70's, computer, and audio from the Venue.
Primarily, I need people who can white balance and properly expose a camera, who are good at understand workplace safety, can be innocuous and respectful. Another important factor is being able to present a warm and welcoming face, as part of this training includes taping therapy live. Lavalier microphone placement is a huge plus. Computer and networking background is also a plus. Access to lighting gear, gels, filters, etc is also a big plus (I will pay if we need anything).
Also, there are several therapist exercises which will not be taped, this means several hours of downtime (where you can enjoy the grounds, grab coffee, read, walk around the grounds). There is only one setup (we setup the evening of the 29th, and are hopefully able to just go), and breakfast, lunch and dinner are included (primarily vegetarian). I cannot provide lodging, which sucks, but hopefully you live nearby.
Email me if you have any questions or concerns. These are always very positive and profound events.
