As an individual or team member at Global Aviation Services, you will ensure that quality work is done safely, reliably, and timely and is cost-effective. You will perform maintenance best practices while focusing on safety and customer service. Customer satisfaction, safety, keeping on budget, and meeting productivity will be your goal. The Deicer Service Technician is located at our shop in the Newark, New Jersey, airport.

Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, and micrometers.
Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power tools.
Assemble machines, and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.
Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
Repair -- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
Installation -- Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
Troubleshooting -- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
Equipment Maintenance -- Performing routine maintenance on equipment.

Minimum 3 years of proven repair experience millwright.
Must have strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Must have experience with electrical and hydraulic systems
Ability to diagnose electrical AC and DC circuits. From 12 DC to 480 AC volts
Must be able to effectively evaluate equipment performance and trouble-shoot equipment and process problems through the use of critical analytical skills.
Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Must be able to read codes and instructions on the computer.
Valid driver's license and good driving background.
Ability to pass a 10 year background check that includes driving record, education, and drug test.
Minimum high school diploma or its equivalent.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, holidays.
Possess at minimum a set of hand tools including a toolbox and multi-function electrical meter.
Able to lift 70 pounds.
