We are expecting a baby in December so it seems silly to take up the space in the closet for my wedding dress, hence my idea to sell it. I also like the idea of so much fabric being used for more than one wedding since I tend to be "green" and environmentally conscious.

The dress is a discontinued style with a ballgown skirt of textured rosettes. Each rosette has beading sewn in the middle. The bodice is pleated and strapless with a sweetheart neckline. I added a belt of silver beading and ivory satin (this was sewn on at extra cost and makes the dress custom) and changed the back to a zipper rather than a corset type.

The dress was altered to fit my measurements. It's a size 14 originally, but the waist was taken in about two inches down to the hips. I am told that it can be re-altered up to a size 16 and down to a size 10, but I would honestly check with your seamstress on that one before you buy it. It was sized initially to fit my bust at 38DDD and then tucked in for a smaller waist. Remember that these are formal sizes, so about two sizes larger than normal store bought clothes. It was also shortened to fit my height, which is five foot two inches with three inch heels, hence it would be appropriate for five foot four/five ladies or shorter. I do not believe that that length can be returned now that it has been shortened, but again, please check with your seamstress.

I did wear it once, for my wedding on August 9, 2014. I have not had it cleaned since then and the inside of skirt shows some dirt along the hem. There is nothing visible on the exterior that I can see. Our wedding was in Las Vegas and I literally folded it up in a suitcase and checked it as baggage. The many different layers and textured traveled perfectly and it needed NO ironing or steaming when I arrived or since then. For that reason it travels well, but it does weigh about 30 pounds so for that reason it's hard to make work as a carry on. If you are traveling by car to a wedding I'd say it's perfect because it doesn't wrinkle or crease at all. The veil is a simple ivory two layered veil with a satin trim.

I am asking $150 for it; the original purchase price was about $950 with the custom belt added. I do not care if you are looking to resell it at higher price or wear it and then resell it, etc. More power to you. I'm just hoping someone else can use all the beautiful handiwork that I'm sure some lovely lady in a developing country spent hours on.

Because of all the crazy stories in the news about people up to no good on my husband will not allow me to invite people to our home from . I am happy to meet you at any major retailer of your choice (Target, Kroger, HEB, Walmart, etc) to exchange the dress. Cash only, and meeting in a parking lot will virtually guarantee that you will not be able to try it on. I've tried to think of an alternative to that, but I just can't think of a safe one.

Key Reminders:

**It has not been cleaned
**It has been shortened to fit my 5"2' frame with 3 inch heels
**You will likely need it altered unless we are long lost twins, and this can cost alot of money. Please be prepared for that cost.
**Because we will meet in a parking lot, you won't be able to try it on (sorry!)
**It is heavy at 30 pounds. It didn't stop me from loving the princess feel of it, but I would think it would be too heavy/hot for a beach wedding or some other summertime outdoor festivity.
**The veil is included
