Pips is an adorable tiny guy (under five pounds) who can be very sweet and loving. Like many chihuahuas, he can also be very high strung and at first reminded me of a Tasmanian devil. He has really improved in his foster care with other small dogs and a calm household. He loves to go on walks and be a cuddly lap dog.
His new home ideally would be calm with no kids and another small dog or two, he really snuggles with my female chihuahua, and she also keeps him in line. Pips obsesses over my yard cats so preferably no indoor cats. Pips is very afraid of men, I think over time he would warm up to a man in his home, but would take some time and patience for sure.
Pips was released to PACC for biting, and in foster care has not bitten but has threatened to, though he does give warning , which is helpful. He is also very food aggressive, but takes treats gently by hand, and responds to training with treat motivation too.
It seems like he did not have a lot of training of socialization but continues to do well with more experience out and about. He is only three and would ultimately be a great addition with a lot of love to give for an understanding and patient household.
