We are an well established organization of preschools in the Seminole, Pinellas Park, St Pete, and Clearwater areas and we are looking for an experienced director for our Clearwater and St Pete location. Our classes are very active groups where our children learn many life skills, as well as music and movement, and art. They learn to communicate with each other and with adults. We are looking for a warm, nurturing caregivers who are creative and energetic team players and who love working with a variety of age groups. The teacher will have a variety of duties, including leading a group of children through an educational curriculum, coordinating lesson plans and classroom activities with the lead teacher, and interacting with children and parents.

Our centers vary in size by location.


Our families come from a wide socioeconomic range with about half of our students receiving ELC and/or Food program assistance. Candidates will be expected to have experience with at least one but preferably both of these programs.


The Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school under the direction of the owners. Specific duties shall include but not be limited to the following:

Timely opening and or closing of the center
Proper staff scheduling and training
Recruiting/Hiring staff to provide the daily program insuring state ratios are always met
Ensure proper sign in and sign out procedures are followed for DCF and ELC
Enrollment procedures for new students
Maintain and increase enrollment
Enroll new students
Provide effective parent relations
Provide effective management and supervision of teachers and staff
Assign staff to maintain proper cleaning and organization of the Academy
Keeping security and safety of all children, parents and staff a high priority
Make sure that all staff files are in compliance with the state regulations
Collect and properly account for all tuition and fees
Any additional duties as assigned by the owners


Valid FCCPC and Directors credentials
Prior experience as a Director or Director Assistant
Must be able to pass a level II background screening


A 4 year Bachelor degree is preferred but not required
Experience with the States Food program filing requirements
APPLE accreditation experience
