This is a Newman Bros full size upright piano. Made in Chicago, IL. Built some time in the 1960s.
This is a great piano for someone who wants something to play in their home. Probably not great for live performances only because the top 9 keys and bottom 3 keys do not work. Parts from these keys were sacrificed to make all of the keys in the middle of the keyboard work properly.
This piano has undergone extensive work done by Ryan of nolapiano.com. The action has been rebuilt (hammer leather, broken springs replaced, dampers and backcheck felt replaced, keys leveled and spaced, pedals adjusted) and the strings have been tuned.
The hinges on the lid are broken, so I just lift it on and off whenever I need to look at the guts of the piano. They can easily be replaced with new hinges.
I won't move the piano for you, but I will let you use some piano-specific handtrucks that I have, as well as a ramp, that make moving this piano MUCH MUCH EASIER. They will cut in half the number of people you need to move it.
