Even though birds are sensitive animals, they still need routine vet care and need to have their lives enriched so they live healthy and long lives.

In the Humane Bird Handling & Enrichment seminar YOU will learn:

-What is behavior/ABCs
-Training - positive reinforcement vs. force
-Working with "untamed" birds
-Working with behavior problems - screaming, biting, feather damaging
-Managing medical treatment/husbandry - medical problems have always been a behavioral component
-Target training/clicker training

Your BIRD will learn:
-To accept handling without restraint
-To offer his/her nails for trimming
-To allow you to handle him/her and on a scale

Melody Hennigh is a registered veterinary technician, working at the Medical Center for Birds in Oakley, California.
