Hello! My name is Heather Dodd, head trainer with Dodd's K9 Obedience. Here's a little about myself and why I do what I do, as a child, I grew up with dogs and I always found interest in teaching the family dog new tricks. I was determined to learn about dog behavior and to create a trusting bond with the dogs I work with. I attended Animal Behavior College in San Diego to further my education about dogs and became a certified obedience trainer. From there, I have expanded my knowledge of training by learning from other seasoned trainers and absorbing many techniques of handling and administering corrections as well as praise. I believe dogs, like humans, learn at different speeds and some with different approaches. I base my training around what I believe is most effective for your dog and you as the owner, whilst keeping the dog's happiness in mind. As a human being, I know it can be frustrating to have a dog that is destructive, jumps, pulls on leash, mouths, rushes the door, isn't housebroken, has separation anxiety, barks disruptively, and so on...I also know the frustrations of going as far as finding a trainer, only to be discouraged by the cost. Every owner should be able to sleep well at night, knowing each morning their dog will show more and more improvement with each session! With that being said, I currently am taking students for group obedience classes as well as private sessions. Group Obedience includes: Puppy class, Intermediate, Advanced classes and will be held at a mutual park. For Pricing please email ( Best way to get in contact with me)
