Privately owned engineering and manufacturing firm in Westminster, Colorado is seeking a full-time applicant for a proficient draftsman / CAD Technician position. This job would require candidates to fulfill responsibilities at their desk (70%), and the fabrication shop floor (30%).

Duties & Responsibilities:
Design and draft components, sub-assemblies, systems and structures in AutoCAD
Compute, compile and proof submittal drawings and component data for clients
Produce shop package drawings, with appropriate GD&T for both in-house and outsourced machining & fabrication
Verify fabrication of components are properly built to print; ensure quality control check before supplying to client
Assemble components and sub-assemblies to provide technical service and support to clients
Assist shop employees with fabrication, in-bound and out-bound deliveries
May work on call, and / or weekends with little or no advance notice to ensure project(s) are completed / delivered on scheduled deadlines

Requirements:
Completed High School Diploma (minimum), Drafting Certificate / Courses (helpful), or Completed Community College (helpful)
Proficient user of AutoCAD
Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word | Excel | Publisher | Access)
Above average mechanical aptitude
Accepts and offers constructive criticism accordingly
Professional & effective communication skills through verbal, visual, & written form
Operate with integrity with colleagues and clients by face-to-face, via email and phone
Complete tasks / projects on time in a very accurate manner
Organized individual being able to multitask; ability to switch between projects quickly when commanded
Physical activity including, but not limited to, walking, bending, stooping, or climbing is required

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Electrical Engineering
Experienced user of AutoCAD
Design experience & hands-on experience in manufacturing environment
Knowledge of mechatronics and machine design
Knowledge of reading & understanding electrical schematics & wiring diagrams

Compensation:
$12.00 - $15.00 / hour pending on experience & knowledge, along with available 401K / profit sharing, health insurance, paid vacation.
