*REPORTS TO:* Store Manager

*DESCRIPTION:* Assists Store Manager in all activities, which produce sales, promotes customer satisfaction and leads the team in meeting all store expectations and standards. Independently coordinates and performs activities involving the supervision and training of Sales Associates, merchandise management, visual merchandising, asset protection, administration and store maintenance. Initiative and independent judgment is required.


*Sales and Service*
Ensures associates are adhering to all sales and service standards and expectations
Communicates and promotes sales goals and active-selling culture
Attends to customers in a timely, friendly and efficient manner (on the sales floor, on the telephone, at the cash register)
Retrieves merchandise for customers and carries merchandise out for customers if needed
Assists associates in satisfying customer merchandise requests (transfers, special orders, etc) Follows through to completion of customer request in a timely manner and completes all appropriate paperwork
Ensures associates understand and adhere to the Moochie & Co. return policy and suggests exchanges
Uses proper phone etiquette and adheres to telephone guidelines outlined in Associate Handbook
Supports company initiatives and programs

*People Management*
Models values and ethics of Moochie & Co.; deals with associates honestly and fairly; assists with creating and sustaining a store environment of honesty, fairness and respect for others
Assists in development and training of all associates
Screens applicants
Ensures associate productivity by providing clear instructions, follow-up, feedback, recognition and accountability
Implements manager's directives through delegation and follow through
Promptly addresses policy and procedure violations and performance issues with associates and refers to Store Manager for appropriate handling
Provides input for associate performance evaluation
Identifies and prioritizes goals to be accomplished
Follows the natural chain of command (Store Manager, Regional Manager, etc) in regards to store issues
Handles store issues with a level of maturity, ensures the issue is contained within the store

*Merchandise Management*
Coordinates the receiving, check-in, pricing and processing of merchandise onto the sales floor in a timely, accurate manner
Notes merchandise damages and over/short quantities on appropriate documents and holds Sales Associates accountable for the same
Maintains current retail and clearance price changes in a timely manner
Coordinates shipping, receiving and appropriate follow-up on customer merchandise requests in a timely manner
Continually restocks merchandise onto sales floor and back stocks merchandise with manager approval
Visual Merchandising & Presentation
Ensures visual merchandising and maintenance standards are fully understood and maintained by associates
Participates in the implementation of all new visual merchandising directions; displays merchandise according to visual merchandising standards (i.e. set-up, signing, graphics, etc)
Assists in planning and preparation of sales floor for the receipt of new merchandise
Maintain daily store operations and presentation, including ensuring aisle standards are consistent with American Disabilities Act's expectations

Timely and accurate performance of all opening/closing procedures
Assists Store Manager in ensuring all cash management policies and procedures are adhered to by all store associates
Orders supplies, purchases other supplies as needed
Contacts ADS with computer malfunctions
Keeps Store Manager informed, especially in the area of any operational, administrative or asset protection related issue
Immediately reports any known or suspected Code of Conduct violation to the Store Manager or Regional Manager

Ability to bend, climb and lift so as to stock and retrieve merchandise from various heights
Adheres to Moochie & Co. policies as defined in the Associate Handbook
Ability to work more than 40 hours per week, based upon business needs
Ability to work as needed; closing min 2 nights per week and 1 Sat & Sun per month. Including: weekends, holidays and evenings
Access to personal motor vehicle during working hours, with ability to travel as required (i.e. dropping off bank deposits daily, picking-up store supplies, etc)
Straightens, fronts and faces merchandise
Cleans furniture and fixtures (i.e. cleans front doors, dusts)
Cleans restrooms, break area and stockroom
Vacuums, sweeps and mops floor
Replaces light bulbs
Disposes of trash

Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as business, retail management, marketing, merchandise plus one year retail management experience
Minimum of one year of retail management experience
