Our company is currently seeking an experienced individual to handle our brands social media and member engagement strategy.

Who's Who of Distinguished Alumni is an international registry and networking forum dedicated to aggregating and honoring top alumni, professionals and executives from prestigious universities and institutions across the world. We provide all of our members a unique online networking platform, along with providing them with an established 3rd party accreditation. While we have members representing every major industry and job seniority, the majority of our members are CXO/VP/Director level executives, business owners, consultants, attorneys, medical doctors and other professionals.

About The Role

The Social Media & Member Engagement Manager will join our growing team and be responsible for completely owning our brands social media and member engagement strategy. Most importantly, they will need to curate an ongoing pipeline of unique content for all of our social channels. Furthermore, they will also be responsible for interacting with and engaging our current membership base. Specific job duties will include:
Creating/curating unique content for daily posting across all of our social media properties including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, & Google+.
Interacting with our social media following by responding to comments/messages, sharing relevant or engaging posts by our followers, and addressing any negative press/comments.
Working hand in hand with our marketing team to direct strategy in terms of paid social media advertising (for the purposes of increasing engagement and growing our following).
Organically grow the following on our social media properties through posting engaging content.
Serve as a point of contact for our members who want to cross promote them across our social media channels.
Generate topical content ideas for our editorial team and handle postings on our blog.
Function as a "concierge" and actively help members generate connections with other members. Furthermore, this will entail handling bespoke networking request by members.
Come up with strategies on how to drive member engagement on our online platform, as well as across our social media platforms.
Reach out to industry specific bloggers or media outlets in order to secure media placements/press for the purpose of driving brand awareness to our target demographic.
Respond to or address any negative press on our brand.
Create weekly and monthly briefs/reports for upper level management and stakeholders which outline key metrics in regards to following growth, engagement, and overall strategy.

Requirements

The Social Media & Member Engagement Manager will ideally have 2+ years experience managing a brand's social media. We're looking for someone who can immediately step in and make an impact. The candidate will also meet the following requirements:
A minimum of 2+ years in a similar social media based role.
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Experience using SaaS platforms such as Hootsuite & Mention.
Strong computer skills and fluency in the MS Office suite of products.
Excellent writing ability and communication skills.
Must be able to interact with our members in a kind, courteous and professional manner.
Exhibit an extremely professional manner as it relates to writing emails, posting content, or any other "client facing" activity as noted by the job description.
Must be good with number for the purpose of generating reports.
Familiarity with popular email marketing solutions (especially Mailchimp) is a huge plus.

Our brand new office is conveniently located on Franklin Avenue in Garden City, in the heart of Long Island's premier business district. It's easily commutable from all of Nassau County, Western Suffolk, and Eastern Queens. We're a heartbeat away (walking distance) from the Garden City train station, as well as the popular 7th street area which has tons of great dining options!

Compensation/Benefits

A competitive salary that is commensurate with your experience and ability.
Full time hours; Monday thru Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm.
Office is closed for all major national holidays
Paid Time Off after 60 days.
Medical benefits after 90 days.
