Marketing Coordinator

Job Summary
The Marketing Coordinator has a strong understanding of branding and marketing as well as experience and skill in copywriting and editing. The ideal candidate is skilled at developing strategic communications to fit various marketing programs, including digital. The Coordinator will be responsible for online content, email blasts, and blogs, manage data, assist with social media, and maintain a schedule of deliverables for the team and outside vendors. This position requires a highly organized individual with the ability to work under deadlines.

Our marketing coordinator will ideally have 5 -- 7 years of writing and editing experience, including digital marketing and social media. A background in journalism or public relations is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Write content for marketing materials and programs, including pamphlets, brochures, newsletters, social media posts, and webpages
Coordinate and review newsletter and blog submissions and provide feedback
Assist with the planning and execution of monthly social media and blog calendars as well as the analyzation of data to deliver strategic insights to optimize results
Work with external and internal partners to produce marketing materials on time and on budget
Develop and maintain an internal database of approved marketing copy & other marketing assets
Participate fully in project planning and other meetings to establish full understanding of organization and benefits in order to create clear messaging for programs
Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis, and present results
Other duties as the company and/or position evolves

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferably in Writing, Marketing, Communications and/or English, or a portfolio that demonstrates equivalent training or experience

Skills and Abilities
Superior written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail; confidence in proofreading materials for accuracy and consistency
Well versed in competitive analysis and market research
Strong time management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, monitor, and respond to changes quickly
Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects at the same time while maintaining attention to detail
Advanced skill and passion for internet and social media with awareness of current social media trends, tools, and best practices
Strong sense of responsibility and pride in work
Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Must be able to work in an environment where the noise level is moderate

Knowledge and Experience
Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and Outlook
Proficient working with HTML and uploading and managing content in a CMS
