The School Psychologist collaborates with the students, families, community partners and the school team to remove student barriers to learning and build safe and healthy environments for academic success.
Locations currently available:Seattle, WashingtonSpokane, WashingtonResponsibilities:Conduct individual and group evaluations and diagnoses of learning, behavior and/or adjustment problems of children and youth at assigned schoolsAssist in providing guidance and assistance to children with learning, behavior and/or adjustment problems at assigned schoolsAssist in developing appropriate individual and/or group programs of instruction and treatment of students in assigned schoolsAssist in systematically reassessing children with special educational needs as appropriateAssist in providing inservice training in learning, child development and child management to parents, teachers, administrators and other professionals and paraprofessionalsAssist in providing consultation and advisement to administrators, teachers, and parents regarding the general and special educational programs as appropriateAssist in coordinating, communicating and seeking consultation with community agencies as appropriatePerforms other duties as assigned to support the Seneca Family of Agencies and the success of students at assigned schools.Qualifications:Masters degree or Ed.S. in School PsychologyValid Washington School PsychologycredentialKnowledge of special education laws and regulations; general education curriculum; response to intervention principles; disabilities and appropriate curriculum; behavior management systemsClearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirementsAbility to work as a member of multi-disciplinary teamValid Washingtondriver's license and current automobile insurance, clean driving recordBe insurable by Seneca's insurance companyHours:Full TimeCompensation:Competitive SalaryComprehensive employee benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and chiropractic coverage, as well as partially paid premiums for dependentsEmployer-paid Employee Assistance Plan5 weeks of Paid Time OffEmployer paid Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)1 week paid time off plus 20 teacher days off
