OPERATIONS MANAGER - CAPITOL LIGHTING
The Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining the organization, integrity and cleanliness of the warehouse and showroom and to monitor the receiving and shipping of all products. Organize and monitor process for all merchandise to be clearly and accurately marked and placed in designated areas for storage of specific types and/or classes of products in order to be easily identified and removed for pick-up, shipping and inventory accountability. The Operations Manager also assists the Sales Manager with supporting the sales staff and customer service.

WAREHOUSE MANGEMENT:
Oversee all warehouse functions to assure accuracy and timeliness
Supervise, monitor, and schedule all activities of warehouse personnel
Maintain organization, integrity, and cleanliness of warehouse area ensuring that all safety precautions are exercised
Monitor for accuracy all pickup, packaging, delivery or distribution of merchandise or materials, including coverage for "paid" and "taken" orders

STORE OPERATIONS:
Perform "Store Manager" role when the Manager is off
Support the overall sales culture in your store by being positive, assist and direct sales staff when needed
Assure that new merchandise is on display, process returned and damaged merchandise

MANAGING & DEVELOPING STAFF:
Listen effectively, provide clear verbal and written information to staff in a positive and timely manner
Train, supervise, coach and motivate warehouse personnel to fill orders with care, without missing items or merchandise errors -- includes following "Checklist" for taking down fixtures, cleaning and packing properly

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE:
Handle complaints from customers. Constructively handle (or supervise the handling of) all customer complaints
Assure customers have a positive, satisfying, and memorable shopping experience during the entire process: sales person, customer service, and warehouse
Troubleshoot and address customer problems as they occur
Assure that excellent service is provided and in an efficient manner

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
2+ years managing people
5+ years warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, inventory
2+ years servicing customers
Associate's Degree
