POSITION SUMMARY: The primary function of the position is to perform Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) waived lab testing under the supervision of the Lab Manager and support the clinical staff.
Obtain blood samples via venipuncture or finger stick.
Perform laboratory testing including:
oFinger stick -- glucose
oOral drug screening
oPerform CBC using the Coulter ACT-T Diff instrumentation
Triage incoming patients.
Calibrate glucose monitors.
Understand and practice Universal Precautions.
Accurately document each visit using RPMS Electronic Medical Record.
Scan reports from outside providers.
Perform clerical duties as required for clinical staff (providers, nursing, and lab).
Comply with HIPAA rules and regulations and other privacy laws.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Phlebotomy certification required with one year experience.
Current CPR certification within (3) months of hire.
Knowledge and skill with computer applications.
Able to work with public in all circumstances.
Must have good organizational skills and telephone etiquette .
Must be able to maintain patient records in compliance with Federal Privacy laws.
Able to lift 40 lbs.
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Possess a valid Nevada driver's license.
