Adjunct instructor(s) needed to teach word processing course(s) at MTI College. The available course covers an introduction to the creation of professional documents in Microsoft Word 2013. We are currently seeking instructor candidates for one new evening course and one afternoon course beginning on August 31, 2015 and running through October 9. The evening class will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-9:30 pm. The afternoon class will meet on Monday-Thursday from 12:40-2:20 pm. Topics in the course include creating business documents such as letters and memorandum, controlling document formatting, creating tables, using the mail merge tools, drafting research papers, using graphics in flyers, and using the Word Web App.
We are looking for one instructor to teach both the afternoon and evening classes. Two instructors may be an option. Please note your availability when responding. New courses are offered every 6 weeks. This is a part-time assignment and can lead to regular adjunct assignments pending student needs and instructor performance.
This teaching position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. The preferred candidate will have professional working experience with Microsoft Office and will be familiar with standard business documents and practices. Teaching experience preferred. Microsoft certification in Office 2007/2010/2013 is a requirement; certifications can be obtained via MTI for qualified candidates. A teaching demonstration is a required component for all potential applicants. A personal background check is administered to all potential instructors.
