WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time/Seasonal. Part-time/Year-round
Flexible, 12-40 hours per week depending on business' needs and your schedule
Weekends and holidays required

COMPENSATION:
Hourly Plus Tips DOE

SUMMARY:
Waterways Cruises & Events is a small family owned company operating three luxury dining yachts for private events as well as public dining cruises. We are seeking an experienced seasonal Galley Cook to join our team of highly qualified culinary professionals. The Galley Cook is solely responsible for all aspects of food service during a cruise, which includes platter and passed appetizers, multi-course plated meals, buffet meals and dessert service. The Galley Cook must work closely with the front of the house staff in coordinating timelines and adjust as needed to meet client requests. MOST OF ALL the Galley Cook must be committed to providing the highest level of guest satisfaction to each and every guest.

SKILLS / DUTIES REQUIRED:
Duties include basic prep for the main kitchen, peeling, cutting, searing, grilling, boiling, blanching, fruit trays, stocks, portioning proteins, etc.
Responsible for daily prep list, loading food on vessels within designated time-frame, and opening and closing of the galley kitchen.
Plating hot food, setting up buffets, and following dinner service time-frame while working closely with FOH staff.
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the kitchen.
Must be able to work with and without supervision.
Must have a clean and professional appearance and work station at all times.
Ability to be self motivated and thrive under pressers.
Must be punctual and have perfect attendance at all times.
Be able to take direction from the Executive Chef and work well as part of a team.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must have previous fine dining experience.
Must have experience with Pacific Northwest cuisine.
Must have high standards of sanitation and knowledge of Washington state health codes.
Must possess a current Washington state food handler's card.
Able to interact with customers and other crew members in English

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Culinary degree is preferred.
