Administrative position for a multitasking team-player who enjoys working with students and teachers in the high-energy environment of our small college-preparatory independent school for grades 7-12.
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of demonstrated administrative and/or management experience, proven organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy, strong writing skills, integrity, problem-solving skills, follow-through, and a personable and positive attitude. Bachelor's degree required.
General duties include:
coordinating and overseeing the school's administrative staff;
managing student transcripts and records;
writing, editing, and/or proofreading school forms, publications, and correspondence;
working with the school's Business Coordinator on business and financial matters;
overseeing school calendars and schedules;
maintaining school files;
preparing agendas and minutes for weekly faculty meetings and monthly board meetings;
meeting regularly with the headmaster and head of faculty to coordinate school operations and procedures;
serving on the school's admission and financial aid committees;
organizing and/or assisting with special events such as parent meetings, student orientation, promotion, award ceremonies, graduation, open houses, parent conferences, annual auction, etc.;
submitting school information and recommendations for college applications.
