The Computer Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day activities necessary to maintaining an environment that will support the stores ability to meet our customer's needs. These activities include, but not limited to, the monitoring of servers, file transfers, running of batch processes, assisting in problem resolution, and the monitoring of the store circuits and the placing of service calls when a problem arises. This is a part-time, weekend position.
* System Monitoring:
? Monitoring the health of systems responsible for the stores ability to meet our customer's needs.
? Responsible for rebooting servers based on designated schedules and requests.
? The notification of appropriate staff members on the status of the servers.
* Batch Processing:
? Responsible for monitoring, and insuring successful completion of all batch processes.
? Identify problems as they occur. Notify the on-call personnel responsible for the failing application and assisting with problem resolution.
? Maintaining the Operations run documentation.
? Monitoring and verifying all file transfers to/from the stores, US Bank and other outside vendors as required.
? Responsible for monitoring system backups until successful completion.
? Monitoring of the SignProd and Fax servers.
? Reading system generated emails and taking appropriate action as required.
* Store Frame Circuits:
? Responsible for monitoring the store frame circuits and logging service calls with CenturyLink.
? Following the procedures located in the CenturyLink documentation, responsible for the escalation of unresolved calls.
? Maintaining a clean environment in the Data Centers.
? Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
? High School Diploma
? Prior Computer Operations experience preferred.
? Good verbal and written communication skills.
? Good analytical skills for problem determination and resolution.
? Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding situations.
? Ability to manage multiple priorities.
? Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
? Must work within designated normal office hours assigned or required by work.
